Corks:

Made from highly absorbent cotton fibers, allowing for superior performance. Available in two sizes, soft and flexible, maintains shape when soaked with our coating solution, allows for ease in placement in the nostrils. Non-sterile.

Coat Solution: (Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride 0.05%)

The Active ingredient is oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.05%, nasal decongestant, compare to Afrin’s active ingredient. Intended originally for temporary relief of nasal and sinus congestion. Dr. Friedman uses this product in his every day medical practice to help stop nosebleeds. He recommends using this product to coat the nasal corks to help stop an active nosebleed. He discourages continued use as it can lead to rebound congestion.

BleedCEASE:

BleedCEASE’s natural polymer releases calcium from the calcium alginate, derived from seaweed. Calcium helps your body in forming a clot with an active nosebleed. When used along with Dr. Friedman’s recipe, the calcium alginate accelerates the clotting process and helps stop even the toughest of nosebleeds. The soft, sterile fibers are absorbent, and are easily inserted into the nostrils. They do not adhere to the nasal tissue, so upon removal will not upset the clotting process, creating further bleeding. There are no systemic side effects or medication contraindications, suitable for ages 1-100.

When used in conjunction with Dr. Friedman’s preventative measures will reduce the risk of recurrent nosebleeds. Compare to Ocean Saline Nasal Spray, ingredients include benzalkonium chloride, benzyl alcohol, purified water, sodium chloride, sodium phosphate dibasic, sodium phosphate monobasic. There are no systemic side effects or medication contraindications, suitable for ages 1-100.

Petroleum Jelly Prevention Ointment:

Our pure ultra-white petroleum jelly is a soothing, lubricating ointment that helps with nasal dryness, restoring moisture to the nasal mucosa. When used in conjunction with Dr. Friedman’s preventative measures will reduce the risk of recurrent nosebleeds. It is viscous enough to stay in place for hours between twice daily application. The ointment creates a barrier, protecting the irritated, sensitive nasal mucosa, helping it heal. There are no systemic side effects or medication contraindications, suitable for ages 1-100.
